California Tortilla Excels with Great Customer Service

As you may know from our Facebook albums filled with photos of yummy food spreads, we love a great meal here at The Merz Group.  Every Friday, we order an agency lunch and spend time hanging out together after a productive week.  One of our mainstay favorites has quickly become California Tortilla, who not only offers delicious, fresh food, but also has outstanding customer service.

From friendly employees, hilarious monthly “Taco Talk” e-newsletters, and outstanding use of social media (they’ve tweeted back at our employees on occasion), “Cal Tort” makes it easy for customers to interact with the popular brand.  But where they really impress is with their continual free offers for customers on holidays like Valentine’s Day, or for popular TV programs like Shark Week.

Last week on Valentine’s Day, customers received a free dessert with the purchase of any entrée. Over the summer during Shark Week, if customers purchased a fish taco, they received a free shark fin hat promoting the popular week-long series of TV programs dedicated to the ocean’s scariest predators.

The dedication that California Tortilla has put into their customer service as well as offering delicious food is clearly paying off.  After expanding to 35 locations along the east coast serving fresh, made-to-order tacos, quesadillas and signature burritos, fans are making the favorite choice known. California Tortilla was recently voted Best Burrito in DC, ahead of popular chains Chipotle and Moe’s. We here at TMG are happy to see Cal Tort get some well-deserved recognition. We are intrigued to watch how this brand continues to evolve and grow! By providing such an excellent customer experience, Cal Tort has developed a strong following of brand loyal fans.
